Client Responsibilities

• Professional Conduct: You must maintain a respectful and appropriate environment during your session. Any form of sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, gestures, or advances, will not be tolerated and result in immediate termination of the session. If the therapist is uncomfortable to any degree, they have the right terminate the session. Refrain from using alcohol or drugs before or during your massage session. 

• Professional Relationship: The relationship between the therapist and client should remain professional. Avoid personal discussions or disclosures that may compromise the therapeutic relationship.

• Accurate and Honest Health History: To ensure your safety and comfort, please provide a complete and accurate health history, including any pre-existing conditions, injuries, medications, or recent surgeries. This information helps your therapist tailor the massage to your specific needs and avoid potential risks.

• Punctuality: Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to ensure a full session. This allows for time to use the restroom, a more thorough intake process, etc. Hamsa House will accommodate for a 5 minute grace period, but late arrivals surpassing 5 minutes may result in a shortened session or cancellation. 

• Cancellation Policy: We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to fill the appointment slot with another client and avoid unnecessary revenue loss. Cancelling and rescheduling appointments are done through Vagaro only.  We require at least a 24 hour notice for all cancelations. If your appointment is canceled within 24 hours of your service, 50% of the service cost will be charged to your credit card. Same day cancellations and no-shows will be charged 100% of the services booked. Thank you for your understanding.


Therapist Responsibilities

• Professionalism and Ethics: Your therapist is committed to providing a professional and ethical service. They will adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including licensing requirements and code of ethics.

• Confidentiality: All information shared during your session, including personal health information, will be kept strictly confidential. Your privacy is of utmost importance.

• Hygiene and Sanitation: Your therapist will follow strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment. This includes frequent handwashing, use of clean linens, and proper sanitization of equipment.

• Client Comfort and Safety: Your therapist will prioritize your comfort and safety throughout the session. They will also communicate with you throughout the session to ensure you are comfortable. The draping technique will ensure your modesty and privacy throughout the session. If at any time you feel uncomfortable or exposed, please let your therapist know immediately.

• Ongoing Education: Your therapist will continue to enhance their skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training. This ensures that they stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.

• Professional Boundaries: Your therapist will maintain professional boundaries at all times. Any inappropriate behavior or advances will not be tolerated.
