We strongly believe in maintaining care on and off the table. Here’s a list of tools and resources (many of which we use ourselves) to cater to your individual needs outside of our sessions.

Maintenance Tools

  • Infrared heating pads provide various wellness benefits (click link here):

    • Pain Relief: They penetrate deeper than traditional pads, relieving muscle stiffness, joint pain, and inflammation, useful for arthritis and chronic back pain.

    • Improved Circulation: Their heat dilates blood vessels, enhancing blood flow, healing, and reducing muscle tension.

    • Detoxification: Infrared heat stimulates sweating, aiding in toxin elimination.

    • Relaxation and Stress Reduction: They create a soothing experience, relaxing muscles and improving mental well-being and sleep quality.

    • Convenience and Versatility: Designed for easy use at home or on the go, they can target various body areas.

    • Hamsa Tip: Throw it on the couch while you're watching TV or on your chair while you're working, etc.

  • Epsom salts, or magnesium sulfate, offer several benefits:

    • Muscle Relaxation: Dissolved in warm water, Epsom salts are absorbed through the skin, helping alleviate muscle soreness and tension.

    • Stress Relief: Soaking promotes relaxation and may reduce stress by regulating cortisol, a hormone linked to stress.

    • Improved Sleep: Regular baths can enhance sleep quality by relaxing the nervous system, making it easier to fall asleep.

  • Magnesium spray offers a variety of potential benefits due to its ability to support overall health and wellness (click link here):

    • Muscle Relaxation: Magnesium is known for its role in muscle function. Applying magnesium spray topically can help alleviate muscle tension and soreness, making it beneficial after workouts or physical activities.

    • Stress Relief: Magnesium plays a vital role in regulating stress and anxiety levels. Using magnesium spray may provide a calming effect, helping to reduce feelings of stress and promote relaxation.

    • Improved Sleep Quality: Magnesium is linked to better sleep patterns. Spraying magnesium on the skin before bedtime may aid in falling asleep faster and enjoying deeper, more restorative sleep.

    • Recovery from Exercise: Athletes often use magnesium spray to support recovery after intense workouts. It may help reduce muscle cramping and promote quicker recovery times.

    • Convenient Application: Magnesium spray is easy to use and can be applied directly to specific areas of discomfort or tension. This targeted method can be more effective than oral supplements for some individuals.

    • Mood Enhancement: Adequate magnesium levels are associated with improved mood and cognitive function. Regular use of magnesium spray may contribute to a more positive outlook.

    • Hamsa Tip: Spray directly into your epsom salt bath for a 2-in-1 approach!

    • Trigger point massage tools help relieve muscle tension and encourage relaxation. The S hook is a popular accessory in this area (click link here). It effectively targets specific trigger points by providing better leverage and focused pressure, making it easy to reach tough spots like the upper back, neck, and shoulders.

    • When using an S hook tool, apply gentle pressure to avoid discomfort. Start with soft movements to find tight areas and increase pressure gradually as muscles release. For best results, include this tool in a regular self-care routine to maintain balance and relief. Always listen to your body and adjust your approach to stay comfortable.

    • A shiatsu neck massager tool (click link here) is designed to provide relief and relaxation to the neck and shoulder areas through a technique inspired by traditional Japanese massage. These devices often simulate the kneading and pressing motions used in shiatsu therapy, targeting pressure points to alleviate tension and soreness.

    • Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably around the neck, these tools can be used while sitting, making them convenient for at-home use or travel.

    • Incorporating a shiatsu neck massager into your routine can be a beneficial way to reduce stress, improve posture, and alleviate pain from tension or long hours spent in front of a computer.

    • Cervical neck pillows (click link here) help support and align the neck and spine. Their shape cradles the neck, allowing the head to rest comfortably and reducing tension in the neck and shoulders.

    • Hamsa Tip: Be mindful that this tool is meant to assist in realignment of the neck and spine and could cause discomfort initially due to tight muscles.

    • Hamsa Tip: Yogis, you can use this during Savasana!

    • Tiger Balm (click link here) is a topical pain reliever popular for easing muscle and joint pain. It was created in the 1870s by a Chinese herbalist and contains ingredients like menthol and camphor that provide a warming or cooling effect on the skin. Users apply it to painful areas such as the neck, back, or sore muscles.

    • Tiger Balm comes in red and white ointments. The red version offers warmth for muscle aches, while the white version provides cooling relief for headaches and nasal congestion.

    • Always follow the instructions and do not apply it to broken skin or near sensitive areas like the eyes. Overall, Tiger Balm is well-regarded for relieving various types of discomfort.
